Gaming company Valve and video platform Netflix have announced that the computer game Dota2 will become its own anime series.
The series is titled "DOTA: Dragon's Blood" and is to consist of a total of eight episodes, which will be released worldwide on the streaming platform as early as 25 March 2021.
Ashley Edward Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor and Black Sails) serves as series showrunner and executive producer. Renowned Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra and Netflix's Voltron: Legendary Defender) is responsible for animation, with Ryu Ki Hyun serving as Co-Executive Producer.

Esports team Virtus Pro has defeated the two-time world champion OG in the grand finals of the division one finals of the Epic League. With a 3-2 win in a best of five Virtus Pro has secured $200.000 in price money, followed by OG winning $100.000.
By winning Epic League the Russian team has secured the last tournament win in the current 7.27d patch, with a new game version expected in the coming days that will bring significant changes to the gameplay and balancing.

The professional Dota 2 esports organization B8 has announced that one of their players has been detained by the police in Belarus. On Tuesday evening he went out to meet with friends on Victoria Square in Minsk. According to the statement "police officers approached them and, for reasons unknown to us, took them into Victoria Square metro station building, where there were already about 50 detainees".
On Wednesday his friends found out that he had been detained. His exact location and condition are unknown, but his friends suspect him to be detained in a preliminary prison in the Zhodino, Minsk region.
