Sandro Botticelli's painting "Portrait of a Young Man Holding a Roundel" has sold for a record $92 million at an auction at Sotheby's, the most expensive work by the Renaissance artist ever to be sold at auction.

A collection of Bob Dylan documents have sold at an auction for $495,000. The collection previously belonged to late American blues musician Tony Glover and included unpublished lyrics written by the singer and letters between Glover and Dylan.

You could soon own a T-Rex skeleton. One of the world's biggest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons, nicknamed Stan, will be auctioned off on October 6. The skeleton could fetch a record price, with estimates as high as $8 million.

Until its auction, the approximately 67-million-year-old Stan can be viewed at Christie's in New York.

A sealed copy of "Super Mario Bros." sold for $114,000 at an auction on Friday, becoming the highest-selling video game ever. The winning bid came from an anonymous bidder.

"The demand for this game was extremely high, and if any lot in the sale could hit a number like that, it was going to be this one. We knew this would be a strong live session, but I don’t think anybody could have anticipated how much bidding action there was on Heritage Live! and the phones," so Valarie McLeckie, Heritage Auctions Video Games Director.

The guitar from the Nirvana frontman, an acoustic-electric Martin D-18E, was originally produced in 1959. The value of 6,010,000 dollars sets a new worldwide record for a guitar sale.

Corey Taylor, vocalist of Slipknot and Stone Sour, raised over $150,000 for the Covid-19 response effort of humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief. Taylor auctioned off 13 of his guitars and basses, including a Gold Top Gibson Classic Les Paul and a gold metallic Gibson Memphis Dave Grohl DG-335, on eBay for a total of $75,000. eBay matched the raised sum, bringing the donation to $150,000.

Jim Morrison's Paris Journal is up for auction in Beverly Hills this June. The journal, which he kept in Paris until his death in 1971, contains handwritten poems and reflections of the musician. Its value is set between $80,000 and $100,000.

A piece of the Northwest Africa 5000 lunar meteorite, that was discovered in the Western Sahara Desert in 2007, is under auction and projected to be sold for $250,000. The slice of the meteorite used to be part of a bigger rock that was cut several times and contains metal that is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old.
