Antifa

The social network has stated that the white supremacist group Identity Evropa has posted calls for violence in the name of the Black Lives Matter movement under the twitter handle @Antifa_US. Twitter has reported the account as it "violated our platform manipulation and spam policy, specifically the creation of fake accounts. We took action after the account sent a Tweet inciting violence and broke the Twitter Rules" according to the platform.

São Paulo state police used tear gas to disperse hundreds of demonstrators in Brazil’s largest city on Sunday as groups protesting and supporting President Jair Bolsonaro neared a clash.

The demonstration by several hundred black-clad members was the largest anti-Bolsonaro street protest since the Covid-19 pandemic started and organised by fan clubs of soccer clubs Corinthians, São Paulo and Palmeiras.

After another night of violent protests, President Trump said Sunday that he was designating Antifa as a domestic terrorism organization, as the president blames Antifa for starting riots at street protests over George Floyd's death.

Antifa is short for “anti-fascist”, and the movement is largely decentralized, with activists organizing their protest activities online or in small, decentralized groups.
