Takuma Sato

Takuma Sato won the 104th edition of the Indianapolis 500. Sato won the famous race for the second time, holding off Scott Dixon. The race was held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway without fans in the stands for the first time in history.
Sato passed Dixon after the last round of pit stops and held him off as Spencer Pigot crashed hard with five laps remaining. The race finished under caution. Graham Rahal finished third, with Santinio Ferrucci fourth and Josef Newgarden fifth.
