Rudy Giuliani is not representing his long-time client Former President Donald Trump in legal matters at this time, according to Trump's spokesman Jason Miller.

In a tweet, Miller added: "Simply that there are no pending cases where Mayor Giuliani is representing the President. The Mayor remains an ally and a friend."

The lawyer of former US President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems. The company claims that Giuliani has spread "demonstrably false" allegations about the company's voting machines. In the 107-page-lawsuit Dominion seeks $1.3 billion in damages.

Rudy Giuliani has announced he won't be part of Donald Trump's legal team when Trump faces his second impeachment trial for "incitement of insurrection" in the US Senate, citing to his involvement in the "Save America Rally" on January 6 where he called for a "trial by combat".

The New York State Bar Association is opening an inquiry into removing Rudy Giuliani from its membership over his role in inciting the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

The Bar Association said Monday it has received hundreds of complaints about Giuliani, President Donald Trump's personal attorney and the former mayor of New York City. "Mr Giuliani's words quite clearly were intended to encourage Trump supporters unhappy with the election's outcome to take matters into their own hands," the association said in its statement.

On Saturday, Pennsylvanian Judge Matthew W. Brann dismissed a lawsuit by the Trump campaign that sought to delay the certification of Pennsylvania’s vote results, claiming widespread improprieties with mail-in ballots in the state.

Brann stated that his "court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusation" and that "this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state."

As Donald Trump played golf on Saturday morning, his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was surprised on camera during a press conference by the announcement of Joe Biden's win in the presidential election.

Earlier confusion regarding the location of the press conference had led the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia to tweet that it was not being held at their premises, but at an unrelated outdoor area, described by the Deutsche Welle news agency as "a parking lot between a crematorium and an adult book store."

"I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was ‘stepping down’ as United States Attorney. I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position".

Berman has been in the office since 2018 and has investigated several of Donald Trump's associates. His office is investigating Rudy Giuliani and has prosecuted Michael Cohen, Trump's former attorney.

Over the weekend, Rudy Giuliani's Twitter account got temporarily suspended after tweeting misinformation regarding Covid-19. The tweet, a quote by conspiracy theorist and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, stated "Hydroxychloroquine has been shown to have a 100% effective rate treating COVID-19 yet Democrat Gretchen Whitmer is threatening doctors who prescribe it. If Trump is for something - Democrats are against it. They're okay with people dying if it means opposing Trump." The drug hydroxychloroquine has been used to prevent and treat malaria but hasn't been proven to be a safe or effective cure for the coronavirus.
