Japan's Naomi Osaka cemented her place as the outstanding star of the women's game by beating American Jennifer Brady 6-4, 6-3 in 77 minutes. The Australian Open was her fourth Grand Slam title.

"I have this mentality that people don't remember the runners-up," Osaka said. "You might, but the winner's name is the one that's engraved.

The Japanese Naomi Osaka won the 2020 U.S. Open Saturday after defeating Victoria Azarenka 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, in New York.

The 22-year-old Osaka celebrated her third Grand Slam title and her second U.S. Open.

Naomi Osaka will face Victoria Azarenka for the U.S. Open 2020 title after a victory over Jennifer Brady 7-6, 3-6 and 6-3. Azarenka qualified to the final following a win against Serena Williams.
