Autopsy of George Floyd revealed positive result for Covid-19

A post-mortem nasal swab of George Floyd showed he had been infected with the novel Coronavirus. The performed PCR test can test for Covid-19 "for weeks after the onset and resolution of clinical disease". Dr Andrew Baker, Chief Medical Examiner, concluded that "the autopsy result most likely reflects asymptomatic but persistent PCR positivity from previous infection".
