Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went live on Instagram on Monday, recounting the events of the Capitol insurrection on January 6.
Ocasio-Cortez said she was and her legislative director were in her office when they heard "huge violent bangs" on the door and she then hid in the bathroom behind the door.
"I start to hear these yells of 'Where is she, where is she?' and I just thought to myself, they got inside. This was the moment where I thought everything was over," Ocasio-Cortez said. It later turned out that the man banging on her door was a Capitol Police officer.

The US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has hosted a Twitch live stream of the game Among Us to raise awareness and money for charitable causes such as food pantries and eviction defense.
On her fundraising page she wrote that "This week, as some families celebrate Thanksgiving, others face food & housing insecurity at levels not seen since the Great Depression," and managed to raise over $200,000. In total, over 104,000 people watched the stream concurrently and she had been joined by multiple other popular streamers such as HasanAbi, Disguised Toast, Myth, Jacksepticeye, xQc and others.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been re-elected to the congress of the United States. With all districts reporting she won by around 37 percent over her Republican challenger John Cummings, a former New York Police Department officer.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) will most likely defeat Michelle Caruso-Cabrera in the Democratic primary in New York’s 14th District, which includes parts of Queens and the Bronx. AOC was leading with 74 percent against Caruso-Cabrera, but mail-in ballots have yet to be counted. Counties have until July 1 to release the results of the absentee ballots.
