Rumours about a breakaway Super League received an official remark from FIFA today, stating that any players competing in such competition would be barred from FIFA and its affiliated competitions.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski was named Europe's best male footballer of 2020 on Thursday by the UEFA, European football's governing body.
The 2019/20 season was one of the greatest in Bayern's 120-year history, and no player contributed more to it than Lewandowski. The Poland striker scored in every game en route to the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon, picking up 15 goals and six assists as well as the trophy he had coveted for so long. He also hit 34 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches and six in five German Cup games.

Manchester City and Lyon will face each other on the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The game will be played on August 15 at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.
In Manchester, City qualified with a 2:1 win against Real Madrid, with goals by Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
In Turin, Juventus won the game 2:1, with two goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, but Lyon qualified on the aggregate result -- by having more away goals.

UEFA announced yesterday several details for the remaining Champions League and Europa League matches. The interrupted rounds of 16 are scheduled to restart on August 5 at unconfirmed locations.
Afterwards, Champions League matches from the quarter-finals up to the final will be played between August 12-23 in Lisbon, while Europa League matches are to be played between August 10-24 at four German cities (Cologne, Duisburg, Dusseldorf and Gelsenkirchen).
Finally, the Women's Champions League will wrap up in the Basque Country region of Spain between August 21-30.

Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais will start their preparation for the Champions League on June 22. As the French League was the only of the "big-five" -- English, Spanish, German, Italian and French -- that cancel their current season, so PSG and Lyon will need to prepare with friendlies to be played in July and the French Cup League final in August 1st.
According to UEFA, the Champions League 2019-20 will resume on August.
All Champions League and Europa League matches have been suspended "until further notice" by Uefa because of the global coronavirus pandemic. All national team games scheduled for June have also been postponed, including play-off matches for Euro 2020, which has been moved to 2021, and qualifying matches for the Women's Euro 2021.
