The sports journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano has announced that Lionel Messi will stay with the FC Barcelona for the 2021 season as he did not want to get "into a legal dispute".

The league organizers will confirm an exact date for the restart as 11 rounds of games still need to be played in the current season. The president of La Liga Javier Tebas has tweetet that "We are very happy with the decision, it is the result of the great work of clubs, players, coaches".
