Facebook removes accounts belonging to far-right group "Patriot Prayer"

Facebook has removed accounts and pages belonging to the far-right group "Patriot Prayer" and its founder Joey Gibson to remove "violent social militias" from its platform, so a company spokesperson.

"We have seen growing movements that, while not directly organizing violence, have celebrated violent acts, shown that they have weapons and suggest they will use them, or have individual followers with patterns of violent behavior," so Facebook in a blog post.

Corey Taylor raised over $150,000 for Direct Relief's Covid-19 efforts

Corey Taylor, vocalist of Slipknot and Stone Sour, raised over $150,000 for the Covid-19 response effort of humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief. Taylor auctioned off 13 of his guitars and basses, including a Gold Top Gibson Classic Les Paul and a gold metallic Gibson Memphis Dave Grohl DG-335, on eBay for a total of $75,000. eBay matched the raised sum, bringing the donation to $150,000.
