Democratic National Committee announced Wednesday Joe Biden would not travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to accept the Democratic presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention due to concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic.

Biden will accept his nomination virtually from his home state of Delaware, and the other scheduled speakers will also address the convention remotely. The DNC announcement, in effect, makes the event all-virtual.

Biden told attendees of a virtual fundraiser Wednesday afternoon that he felt the move was "the right thing to do."

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign announced it raised $80.5 million in May, fueled by his rise in the polls against President Trump and growth in his online fundraising operation.

“I’m in awe of this sum of money. Just a few months ago, people were ready to write this campaign off,” Biden said in a statement.

Rohrabacher confirms he offered Julian Assange a Presidential Pardon

In an interview the former congressman for the republican party in California Dana Rohrabacher confirmed that he offered Julian Assange a presidential pardon in 2017. Before the confirmation, only Assange's lawyers claimed that a presidential pardon was offered to the WikiLeaks founder. The offer was tied to the condition that Assange provides prove that Russia hasn't been the source of the, by WikiLeaks published, internal emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
