Trump administration investigates covering the costs for corona treatments of uninsured patients

The US has a program in place that enables the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to potentially reimburse hospitals and other health providers for treating uninsured patients. The reimbursement rates are set at around 110% of the Medicare rates. Currently, the Centers are evaluating if the program should be used for the treatment of uninsured corona patients.
