France decides to return art treasures to Benin and Senegal

The French National Assembly has approved a restitution law for the return of art treasures. France now plans to return 26 statues and other works of art from the so-called treasure of Béhanzin to Benin. The treasures were previously on display at the Paris Museum of Non-European Art. Furthermore, a sabre will be returned to Senegal, which was previously on display in the Paris Army Museum.

Senegal resumed international flights on July 15th. Air traffic had been on hold for almost four months. Travelling passengers have to produce a negative Coronavirus test that's not older than seven days.

Marie Khemesse Ngom Ndiaye, General Director of Public Health: "‘Today, to come to Senegal, we demand strict compliance with border measures, namely the wearing of masks. Everybody wears a mask, you have the physical distance, even at the seats where you rest. We have alcohol-based gels everywhere, even at the ATMs."

Senegal: President Macky Sall in self-quarantine after, had contact with Coronavirus infected

The Senegalese President Macky Sall went into self-quarantine for two weeks as a precaution. He had contact with someone who was tested positive for the Coronavirus, but Sall himself had a negative test result. Senegal has over 6100 cases so far.

Aliou Sall, brother to Senegalese President, infected with coronavirus

Aliou Sall Mayor of Guédiawaye and brother to Senegalese President Macky Sall has been infected with the coronavirus. Sall is receiving treatment at Dakar hospital Dalal Diam, alongside his wife that also tested positive.
