Toots Hibbert dies at 77

Jamaican singer and songwriter and pioneering reggae star Toots Hibbert died at the age of 77. He was the frontman of Toots and the Maytals, a band that helped make reggae globally famous. He died surrounded by his family at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.

World-record sprinter and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has tested positive for the coronavirus.

He is self-isolating at his home.

An epidemiological investigation by the Jamaican health authorities is ongoing as Bolt celebrated his 34th birthday a few days ago at a mask-free party attended by many people.

Usain Bolt announced Monday he self-isolated waiting for results of his Covid-19 test. The Jamaican tweeted a video stating: "Also I'm having no symptoms, so I'm going to quarantine myself and wait on the confirmation to see what is the protocol on how I should go about quarantining myself from the Ministry of Health.".

Jamaican health authorities have launched an epidemiological investigation as Bolt celebrated his 34th birthday a few days ago at a party attended by many people, including Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, cricket player Chris Gayle, and reggae singer Christopher Martin. According to the English press, Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling was also at the party.
