Due to globalization and climate change, a new vermin for gardening and agriculture has arrived in Bavarian fields and beds: The Brown marmorated stink bug originated in East Asia, menaces the harvests of fruit growers and vegetable farmers, experts warn. In the warmest regions of Germany in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the bug is already widespread for some time, now the bug has been detected nearby, in the colder Bavarian regions at the foot of the Alps.
