A group of armed men calling themselves "patriots" have begun talking to members of the press on the grounds in front of the Capitol in Austin, Texas. The group says they are not aligned with the insurrection riots that occurred last week in Washington, D.C., however they have shown up to talk to press to voice their concerns about the current state of US affairs.

Oracle Corporation has moved its headquarters to Austin, Texas. Oracle became the latest technology company to leave California in the face of the state's higher taxes, steeper cost of living and a broader shift to remote work.
"We believe these moves best position Oracle for growth and provide our personnel with more flexibility about where and how they work," spokesperson Deborah Hellinger told CNN Business.
Multiple bars in cities as Austin, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona have closed again after employees have been tested positive for Covid-19. This comes after some states report a spike in new infections after easing lockdowns and movement restrictions.
As the covid-19 virus spreads in the United States the conference SXSW has been canceled. It was scheduled for March 13th to 22nd 2020. The Austin Mayor Steve Adler has issued an order to cancel the conference in order to stop the virus from spreading further. The conference organizers write that they are planning on providing an online experience to offset the cancellation.
Following the drop out of Andrew Yang out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, his former contender Marianne Williamson switches her endorsement from Andrew Yang to Senator Bernie Sanders who is still in the race. The endorsement was announced at a Bernie Sanders rally in Austin, Texas.
