Business travellers who fall victim to a terrorist attack while visiting a restaurant are not generally entitled to benefits from statutory accident insurance.

The State Social Court in Lower Saxony decided that a restaurant visit was private, even if the business trip was ordered. A worker sued and was the victim of the Ansbach attack in 2016. He justified his claim that the restaurant visit would be directly related to the posting.
