Delta to retire Boeing 777 jets from its fleet

Delta Air Lines said on Thursday that it is retiring the Boeing 777 and other older jets from its fleet in order to slash costs and face the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The retirement of the 777 planes will take place at the end of the year, and the company plans to use Airbus A330s and A350-900 series jets to replace them in its ultra-long-haul markets.
