F1 champion Lewis Hamilton creates comission for diversity in motorsport

The Hamilton Comission has been annouced as a partnership with the United Kingdom's Royal Academy of Engineering. "Thousands of people are employed across this industry and that group needs to be more representative of society," stated Hamilton in his announcement.

Additionally, the commission wishes to see motorsport as a driver for more diversity in studies of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

"When I look back in 20 years, I want to see the sport that gave a shy, working-class black kid from Stevenage so much opportunity, become as diverse as the complex and multicultural world we live in," added Hamilton.
