UNICEF will help feed UK children, first time in the agency's 70-year history

UNICEF has launched a domestic emergency response in the United Kingdom and will provide humanitarian and developmental aid to children, including food, for children that have been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. According to a YouGov poll commissioned by the charity Food Foundation from May, 17% of UK children (2.4m) are living in food-insecure households. 900,000 more children have signed up for free school meals by October.
