Italy: State of Emergency extended until mid October

The Italian Council of Ministers approved Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s request to extend the state of emergency until October 15th. Under the state of emergency, the government can curb certain freedoms and can make lockdown decisions without parliament's approval.
