US unemployment rate jumps to 14.7%, highest rate since The Great Depression

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the unemployment rate reached 14.7% after more 20.5 million workers lost their jobs in April. This rate is the highest since The Great Depression.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, in February, the unemployment rate was at 3.5%
