Peaceful protesters tear-gassed to clear path for Donald Trump photo-op

Police used tear gas and sound grenades to clear peaceful protesters in front of the White House to make way for Trump to visit the St. John's Episcopal Church.

The bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, Mariann Edgar Budde,  condemned President Donald Trump on a interview with CNN: "Let me be clear: The president just used a Bible, the most sacred text of the Judeo-Christian tradition, and one of the churches of my diocese without permission as a backdrop for a message antithetical to the teachings of Jesus and everything that our churches stand for,"
