More people from the United States have died from Covid-19 than during WWI as death numbers rise

With the United States surpassing 117,000 Covid-19 related deaths at over 2 million confirmed cases, the country has now a higher death toll from the pandemic than due to World War One. During the first World War 116,516 Americans had been killed.
