German Health Ministry confirmed: Trump tried to buy German research company to make potential Covid-19 vaccine US exclusive
Following a meeting at the White House with representatives from pharmaceutical companies, Donald Trump, Mike Pence and other members of the US's coronavirus task force to discuss the development of a vaccine against Covid-19, Donald Trump tried to buy the German research company CureVac. Trump had intended to make the vaccine "for the U.S. only", according to the German newspaper "Die Welt". The German Health Ministry confirmed that the reporting from "Die Welt" was accurate and Germany itself is now offering financial incentives for the company in order to stay in Germany.
