Brazil breaks record for Covid-19 daily cases with 65,339 reported infections

The consortium of Brazilian media companies, compiling data from state health authorities, announced Wednesday a record 65,339 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total cases to 2,231,871 since the beginning of the outbreak.

The country recorded 1,293 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 82,890 deaths.
