Brazilian minister starts diplomatic row with China over Coronavirus

After a tweet -- now retracted -- by Brazil’s Education Minister Abraham Weintraub that appeared to mock Chinese accents while insinuating the Asian giant stood to benefit from the coronavirus pandemic, China's embassy in Brasilia demanded a public correction by the Brazilian Government.
This dispute comes just weeks after President Jair Bolsonaro sought to pacify a similar dispute sparked by his son, Eduardo Bolsonaro.
China is the biggest destination for Brazilian exports, accounting for 29% of its global total during the first quarter of 2020.

Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, posted videos of himself going into crowds in Brasilia, hyping hydrochloride as a cure, and encouraging an end to isolation.

Brazil gangs declare strict curfews over favelas to slow corona virus from spreading

With Brazil’s coronavirus death toll rising to 46, gang members in the Cidade de Deus (City of God) favela in western Rio order residents to remain indoors after 8pm. The gang uses loudspeakers broadcasting an alert: “Anyone found messing or walking around outside will be punished.” The gangs of other favelas are following this principle and threaten the 2mio favela-residents to remain at home during the crisis.

Brazilian President, Bolsonaro, dismisses Covid-19 pandemic and face protests

During a live TV pronouncement, President Jair Bolsonaro has called the virus "little flu" and stated the pandemic is a "fantasy." The Brazilian President ordered State Governors to end the quarantine currently in place on São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro -- Brazil's two most populous states.
There were protests across the country, with quarantined people banging pots and pans from their balconies.

Brazil closes down all land borders and restricts entry of Europeans and Pacific Asians

According to AFP News Brazil announced on Thursday they would close down all land borders and prohibit people from European and many Pacific Asian countries who are not citizens of Brazil from entering the country.
