Former German soccer player Christoph Metzelder accused by public prosecutors for alleged possession of child porn

In September 2019 investigators raided two addresses of Christoph Metzelder, a former soccer player for the German national team. They confiscated a computer and phone investigating a possible possession and distribution of child pornography.

Public prosecutors have handed in proceedings to the court of Düsseldorf, and the court needs to decide if the indictment would be admitted. Investigators did not provide any information regarding the accusations following a request by SPIEGEL.
