Brazil: Court overturns restrictions for blood donations by gay and bisexual men

The supreme court in Brazil has, after four years in court, decided to overturn the current rules for blood donations of gay and bisexual men. Currently, these men are prohibited from donating blood for 12 months after having sex with other men. The decision eliminates this waiting period and was made with seven of eleven votes in favor of the elimination.
