Johnny Depp has been fired from "The Fantastic Beasts" franchise

In a letter posted to Instagram, Johnny Depp announced he will no longer be the character Grindelwald of the Fantastic Beasts franchise after "being asked to resign by Warner Bros."

The Warner Bros. decision is related to the fact that earlier this week, Depp lost his libel case against the Sun after he was called a “wife-beater” following stories of alleged abuse against Heard.
